Andalusia

Extended weekend in southern Spain..

The mountain roads in Andalusia are entertaining and it is far between other vehicles.

Flying to Malaga and riding in Andalusia is a very straightforward extended weekend “motorcycle experience.”

Rental bikes: both Marbesol and Hertz have locations at Malaga Airport. From Norway, we have plenty of options for finding reasonable flights.

Preliminary itinerary:

  • Flight to Malaga
  • Ride towards Granada
  • North East towards Aquila de Frontera
  • Then Sevilla
  • Down to Cadiz
  • Direction Tarifa
  • Estepona
  • Up to Ronda
  • Back to Malaga

That’s 980 km / 17 hours on the bike but route need be tweaked and shortened possibly opening for 3 days ride * 5 hours or 4 days ride with 4 hours+

Roughly, google maps with “avoid motorways” and need be tweaked with Calimoto or Kuerviger

The Aprillia Tuareg I rented was superb for these roads. Mediterranean far back, twisty roads up from Estepona
Roman viaducts out from Ronda
